What our customers say...

Visited while traveling in Maine a few years ago & loved it! Nearly filled the car with pottery. Have been ordering from them ever since. Beautiful pottery, makes special gifts too! I travel a lot & visit potters throughout the world - Edgecomb is my favorite ❤️

Melanie Cook

My “go to” for housewarming or any gift. Beautiful and unique pottery made in Maine!

Kerry Buthy

Beautiful pieces! I found the perfect mug - fits my hand well, luscious purples and greens, and holds exactly the right amount of coffee. When I decided I'd like another, Steve was so very helpful in helping me find a mate long-distance.

Suzanne Harkness-Wood

Great customer service! And the whale tail mugs are absolutely fabulous! Great quality and they are beautiful! Everyone loves them, maybe I should have ordered more than 2! Thanks!!

Gail Tarpy

The pottery is beautiful. There are many different patterns and colors. I have been to many different pottery places and this is my favorite.

I had one Edgecomb Potters mug for a decade that has been my absolute favorite mug the entire time. Durable enough to withstand the test of time with being used literally every day of my life, but also absolutely beautiful to look at. Whenever I have guests over and offer coffee they go for my Edgecomb mug first. So I decided recently it was time to bring a couple more into the house. I'm sipping my coffee from a functional piece of art every day and I couldn't love it more.

In all honesty, the most beautiful pieces we have in our cottage are from Edgecomb.  For many years, we have purchased something from Edgecomb almost every June to celebrate our anniversary, and this year (our 50th) was no exception.  We happened to be in Boothbay and stopped at the Edgecomb store where we found two lovely bowls to match mugs and a teapot my husband gave me (from the Portland store) for Christmas. Yesterday when I got one out for serving, my son, who rarely compliments anything, noted, “Wow, that is beautiful.”  I totally agree!

Edgecomb Potters has lovely pottery to be sure...But the jewelry is beautiful and you MUST check out the metal sculptures. Absolutely wonderful!

Made in Maine, Made with Love - Since 1976

It all started with love. In 1976, two young, crazy-in-love hippies decided to go all-in for the American Dream by purchasing a little red schoolhouse in a tiny town in Maine and throwing and selling pottery. With no running water, no heat, and a bed made of floor boards — their determination and passion help create the largest American Crafts Gallery in the country.

CBS came by to see what Edgecomb Potters is all about.
