All of our pieces are touched by hands many many times throughout their creation, so no two pieces will ever be alike. The images shown are the best representations of the glaze & form.

The Imperfections of Pottery Crystal Development
Our crystalline glazes blossom randomly on the pottery’s surface like frost on a window. No two pieces will turn out the same. While the macrocrystalline development on glazes such as Winter Storm, Honey Green & Bahama Blue is very unpredictable, we always do our best to put together pottery with a harmony of tone & crystals per customer request.

Crazing
A common cause is a mismatch between the thermal expansions of a glaze to that of the body on which it is held. Think glaze fit! Because our glaze is very thick and our pieces shrink approximately 20% during firing, crazing often results. Edgecomb Pottery pieces most often exhibit crazing in Seabreeze & Seaglass. It is not considered either cracked or flawed and in fact, can add texture and color to the piece. Crazing will not affect the integrity of our pottery.

Beauty Marks
There are little bits of glaze floating within a kiln that randomly turn up as specks of color on a pot. You just never know what you're going to get!

In stock items will generally ship within 2 business days.

For orders within the continental United States, we ship Ground, 2nd Day or 3 Day via UPS or USPS. Our shipping department does not ship on Saturday or Sunday, and any order received after 10 a.m. on a Friday or placed on any holiday will not ship until the next business day. Standard delivery should arrive 7-10 business days from when we process the order, depending on your location.

We take great pride in our low breakage rates and do everything we can to ensure your package arrives safely. We try to keep our shipping costs as low as possible.

We will ship to Canada via USPS Priority Mail but the recipient is responsible for all duties, taxes and any import fees imposed.

In stock items will generally ship within 2 business days. If there will be a delay of your order for any reason, we will contact you as soon as possible. During our high volume months of July, August and September shipping may be delayed so please allow extra time for shipping during this time.
